I searched everywhere trying to figure out where the iris control board plugs in and couldn't find it. The manual for the 1208 mentions the use of an iris 800 setup, does this mean the Iris2/3 will not work with the 1208?

Tom, nothing in that guide mentions where to install the iris control board. ???

If it plugs in where the other cards plug in, I should point out that every slot is full. Maybe I have some extra cards plugged in that I don't need, dunno.

Thanks Tom. I checked the controller before when I was searching where it plugs in. Apparently the Barco 1208 does not have a port for the iris2/3 on its controller.

I think that 1208 have controller R762166 that's different than R762115 (with iris interface slot).
Then I don't know if the 1208 software have iris2/3 compatibility, probably no.
For example both BG808 and BG808s have same R762115 controller (with iris interface slot) but the first don't have compatible software (ver. 6.xx) so can use Iris800 interface only.
The second instead have it (ver. 7.xx) and it's fully compatible with iris2 (or 3 with latest software).

Yep, 1208 use older Iris design.
Not big loss though. My BG808s had iris2, but it sucked so I removed camera and Iris board at first week. Same thing with port3 board, don't like the idea that there is unused boards in my projector to using power (more heat) and causing problems if those boards short or something.

Well I got the Iris board and camera for free so I was willing to give it a shot. I switch resolutions quite a bit since I run many emulators at old school arcade resolutions, watch movies, and have a sega CD and xbox 360 hooked up as well. I figured the iris touch-up feature would keep me from having to make adjustments all the time. Every couple days I have to manually touch up the convergence for each of the resolutions I use.

Are convergence going to right place after 5-10 minutes waiting after resolution chance?
If you use same resolution from two source to one input, different timings could cause problems. Alternative memory block can help here. For example 480p60 from source x adjust geometry to memory block 5 and 480p60 from source y adjust geometry to memory block 95.
Maybe astig need little tweaking? If it's off, raster centerings can drift when tube temperature is changing.
Have you "nulled" H&V raster position trim pots for your main resolution? If those are way off, it could cause little drifting to raster position.
It's also good to check that all tube and lens screws are tightened, to prevent mechanical movement.
