So in my pursuit of a blend and diminished living space, I've located a quantity of NEC projectors. I've not yet looked at these but I wanted to get some opinions on market value, and interest if I were to part one or more of them out.

If the tubes are good they make a nice projector. Little signal timing issue with 1080p so a scaler or HTPC is best for them.
Of course you could set one up at work too and game 'till your eyes bug out.

At this point it's safe to say that there is no market value for slightly worn tubes and as is parts. Heck, I've slaughtered parts pricing on boards that are modded and warrantied, and sales are slow.
Just FYI.

Was thinking 1080i @ 120hz I was also thinking that using ATI eyefinity to output to three displays on a curved screen would be interesting......

Yeah 3 on the wrap around will be better than 3 LCD's for sure.

The curved screen idea with the projectors is something I've been pondering as well, If I had a few more XGs of my own I would probably be willing to remodel the whole basement just to fit the screen and projectors
And ouch on some of those tubez, they look roasted a bit :\ but some of them dont look too bad, you might be able to get a fairly decent image out of a few of them

Personally, I'd say they're worth about a buck, based on those tube pictures, maybe less...Unless they come with service remotes you *might* be able to sell, but who knows, maybe you'll be the lucky guy who can sell them...

Bummer about the tubes... Looks like the machines came from GlaxoSmithKline, though...
Guess they never got the memo about screen savers. If there were ever a good reason for a screen saver, a CRT projector was it!

perhaps it was a clever marketing scheme. like they intended to "sub-consciously" advertise to CRT enthusiast 10 years in the future while they watched movies?

I need to locate a programming remote for my NEC XG110LC (RC-6321). Can anybody steer me in the direction for locating one of these to purchase?
Thanks,
Brad S
