I'm looking for a good quality blutooth adaptor with some good range.

Any suggestions?

Bluetooth is limited to around 30 ft no matter who you use. I picked up a $10.99 version from Newegg of so no name brand and it works fine.

This isn't entirely correct, Greg. There are different classes of Bluetooth. There are also different versions (in addition to classes) which offers varying data throughput.

AR needs to be looking for a Class 1 transceiver if he wants >30' (10m).

Embarassed

I wonder if you can actually get 100m in real world?!

Regardless...my $10 was probably class 1 and I sit right next to it anyway. I just googled class 1 and there are several available for around $10.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Unless you were doing an outside concert venue or something similar I don't see where you would need 100m /330ft for keyboard use.

I have a nice Grandtech Long ranger 933MHz keyboard. It's rated at 100ft and I've proved that. Now I was thinking of adding SMA connectors or BNC and using external antennas That would be fun.

BUT

getting back to this bluetooth dongle. 333ft on that little antenna? I'd be impressed. That's screaming for an SMA and an external 2.4 GHz antenna.

You asked for good range, and I--noting the hype in market and whatnot--thought the best you could do would be Class 1. Mind you the last couple of Bluetooth transceivers I bought were less than half the size of my pinky finger and cost $7.99 from Fry's Electronics. They worked.
