Wow, that site must be getting gang-banged with people trying to get in on this deal. It took a few server errors and a lot of patience waiting for pages to load to get to the site and through the checkout process.

I heard reports of it taking up to 30 minutes to get through the checkout process. Also that it may take a while to get it, as it may be back ordered.

but it's an amazing deal.

Those are both amazing deals - I picked up one of each. At that price, why not! Thanks for pointing these out Smile

Holy crap, that's crazy cheap.

Not that I'm complaining because that deal is ridiculous, but it says "FREE SHIPPING" all over the damn site, and even on the "BUY NOW" button. Then, when went to check out, the cheapest shipping option is USPS at $.99.

WTF? Last I knew 99 cents wasn't "free" at all.

Ha, I noticed that too - let's file a class action lawsuit. This is bull****, I want my $0.99 back, plus at least $100K in damages for mental and emotional anguish!

Actually, the original movie The Matrix had Free Shipping, but the Ultimate Matrix did not.

How so? The button on the Ultimate Matrix page that I clicked to start the checkout process said "BUY NOW!" and "FREE SHIPPING".

Like I said, no big deal... It was a steal-and-a-half... But, I'm not exactly sure why it says "free shipping" everywhere when it's clearly not free. Maybe the meant a different kind of free shipping I'm not aware of... The kind that costs 99 cents, perhaps. Wink

Ok, it must had been my imagination, SC, because I thought the same thing happened to me, and I posted a reply here on it. Then I went back and saw the first movie with $0.99 shipping and wondered if I had made a mistake--so I removed that post from this thread.

Ok, so it is a form of False Advertising.

I noticed when I added 2 to my cart the shipping was free. So I'm guessing it's like the amazon "free" with a minimum of $25, but .99 if under that.

The bastards just cancelled my order! I just got the email!

Quote:
Due to a pricing error on our website we have cancelled your recent order.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we hope
that you will replace your order now that the pricing has been corrected.

Thank you for your patience in this matter and we look forward to serving
you in the future.

Sincerely,
DeepDiscount.com

Yeah, let's see... I can get it for $5 cheaper from Amazon with ACTUAL free shipping, but I'm going to replace the order. Sure. Uh huh.

As my coworker would say... The douchenozzles!

f*ck DeepDiscount.com - they sent me the following e-mail for both of my orders:

"Due to a pricing error on our website we have cancelled your recent order.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we hope
that you will replace your order now that the pricing has been corrected."

I'm sure it was an honest mistake but I'm still pissed.

I understand making a mistake, and I even understand not honoring that big of a pricing error (to an extent), but I'm amazed that they would just cancel the order and not offer something in return... Here's a code for 10% or 20% off your next order... Something!

Bad PR move, I'd say. These days, with the web, social networking, forums, etc. reputation is everything. They sure haven't helped theirs any today. I've only ordered from them a couple of times in the past, and I can't say I'll be too likely to order in the future.
