OK,
here I go again, The blue on my pj is so far out of focus I cant even tell its an H on the H pattern,
adjusting the lens barely does anything. Whats wrong? I understand blue isnt nearly as sharp but even
my old zenith had better focus. Any help is appreciated.
Keeo in mind im a clueless idiot.

First you need to find out if its mechanical or electronic focus problem. If you look into the lense and see if the "H" pattern is in focus. If it doesn't look too bad...Then it could just be a mechanical focus issue.

I assume you've tried to fix it with electronic focus?

If I remember right, the center focus zone controls the whole raster. Try adjusting the center zone and see if that helps.

Depending on the source frequency all tubes are automatically defocused. There is a table in the manual showing this.

If you toggle the MG button you should see the text "defocus" in the lower right corner toggle off and on.

A slightly defocused blue is actually a good thing for acheiving proper grayscale. That's a whole other topic in itself.

I wouldn't worry about it seriously. Just try to get the focus for the entire screen somewhat uniform.

Yep The reason behined Blue Defocus is for better Gray scale tracking
but some times you need to defocus the blue even more than the defult setting..
