I have heard about an available internal line doubler for my G70 exb-ds10 board
I have heard that it is the most inexpensive way to DRAMATICLY increase the
picture quality.

I have also heard that if the set up is done precisly that you would never see a
difference.

Any thoughts on this matter pro or con advantages or disadvantages

Go for a VP-30 or something along those lines. It's better than the old line doubler.

Does it really drastically improve picture quality?
Is it cost effective?
Any idea on cost?
How hard is it to install?

What source are you using that you would need a line doubler? VHS, Old Game console etc?

On the Sony D50 it makes quite a bit of difference. I don't know if the D50 and G70 use the same board but I have 3 D50 parts machines in the attic and I would sell one of the boards out of it.

I am hooking up a sony bd, A dish satelite reciever (not hd ) and a samsung hdtv tuner.
I only really care about PQ on the BD and samsung.
I know nothing about line doublers
I just heard I could really improve PQ if I had one.
Hence all the questions

Ok all you will need the doubler for is the satellite, the Blueray and the Samsung should be fine direct through either an HDfury or a Moome card with an HDMI switcher.

Do you have either of those?

Does your Samsung box have HDMI or DVI output? Does it have YPbPr/component - 3 RCA outputs in red, green and blue

Which Moome board? DVI/YPbPr, or HDMI/YPbPr?

Then hook everything up as follows:

Satellite box to S-video, Blueray to HDMI input, Samsung box to component input on Moome card.

Grab either the internal doubler from Dan

OR

get an external doubler like a DVDO or a scaler like a VP30 and hook that to the RGBHV input and plug the Satellite box into that

No problem. You know the VP30 may be over kill for just a satellite receiver.

Hey Dan, sell him an internal doubler will ya? lol

IS that a bluray player? If yes, then I wouldn't worry about a line doubler. Get a HD satellite receiver and plug them directly into the pj through a Fury or transcoder. 1080i or 720p from a HD source is going to look better than SD line doubled.
