The problem with used spectros is that they probably need to be recalibrated, so that needs to be factored into the cost.
Kal,
I have never heard of the JETIs until recently. How good are they and what is their retail pricing like?

I was just looking at the thread over at AVS on the Orb. It looks like an interesting instrument.I was just looking for a MSRP to kind of get an idea of the pricing range. Based on the AVS thread, it looks like it is in the $6k to $8k range. I know Nash and I have discussed how to do calibrating on the side for a business and still be successful. Since this is a spectro and if it is indeed in that price range, then this might be a very good alternative for those looking to do this for money. Also, this might be the one to get for those looking to do that group buy. I guess more info is needed to make a better decision.
