with my ECP 4100. It looks like this now:
(it looks like it is the green, blue and red look clear. The green is all static as you can probably see.) the whites are all purple.) Sad Possibly a video board? hopely not the tube.
I was watching a movie last night and all of a sudden the video signal went out for a second, then came back on. I guess it was something in the projector failing? I unplugged it today to move it but I never had this problem before. I mean i have unplugged it and moved it many times before so I don't think that is the reason. Any of you guys have any idea what could be wrong? I have another ECP 4100 with working parts, minus a HVPS.

here's a video of the screen, if you want, i'll upload a video of just the green. Hope you can tell what is going on.

I am using an HD Fury @ 720p. Feeding it through a Harman/Kardon receiver with HDMI switching. I ruled out the receiver because the signal looks fine when i plugged the DVI into my computer's display. And I am using my Powermac G5 as the source, as you can probably tell from the Google image. DirecTV looks the same, all distorted. The green looks all broken up and looks like its full of static or something. the blue and red look clear.

Do a hard reset of the projector, that will probably cure it.

I reset the CPU, it started back up the same way. The red button in back right? It needs to be pressed with the machine off right? thats why everything isn't exactly square, i didn't fix everything up perfect yet.

Hello

Swap green and red coax cables, see if the problem moves to red.

hmm yeah, i plugged the green coax into the red and now the red has static in it. hmm so maybe the cable went bad. its the short HD fury cable that came with the fury. the gold plated one. damnit. EDIT. i switched the cable, same problem. switched to a different RGB input on the PJ, same problem. Sad

any other ideas?

Sounds like a bad Fury at this point. I didn't think it was in the projector. Try the VGA output of a computer into the projector, forget about the Fury to narrow the problem down further.

You are going to have to do a bit more trouble shooting before you condemn the Fury. Try hooking a break-out cable from your PC to the projector. Try a couple of cables if you have them. If the problem is external, swapping RGB inputs at the projector SHOULD look the same.

yes, I have a VGA to BNC5 cable and it looks normal. of course there is no HD resolution available Sad 1280x768 it looks best at. Plugged in the HD Fury to my HP 24 inch and it looks all ugly just like with the CRT PJ. so it is the fury.
