I found a set of lenses in subject.
They appear in good condition and I think that are fully compatible with original barco's supports.

Which is the just price for these set?

Thank you
Wink

I've thrown out two sets for total lack of interest, so they should be pretty cheap...

The 24s are hard to find. They will focus on large screens. I focused a set on my 10' wide screen with no problem. The 12s are easy to find but only focus on very small screens. But they are not a lens with a lot of interest so they should be almost nothing.

Asking price is not selling price. Besides we all know things are herder to find outside the US.

I have been pondering replacing my runco 933 with my 808 that I have done a lc conversion on. Do you guys know how close the focusing of the 145s are to the 117-12's?

The 12's will only do really small screens.

Hello from Munich,

I have bought one set of the 24´s a year ago, to convert my RVP4010 to fp. But until now I only swapped to the hd215 lenses, because I did not had to change the elements. But I also have the Barco elements here. I have never changed elements, but I will have to, because I want to build a curved screen. But I don´t know how much curve the 24´s can handle. Thats why I also bought the G70 elements, to use them wit the HD18/134 lenses for curve. But I still have to buy the HD18/134.
But I know and love the throw distance of the 24´s. CRT screen distance is the same as screen width, I was told! So great if I would stay on a flat screen. Here in Europe the 24´s are rare like hen´s teeth, because many peaple want to convert Retrographics 808s to fp, or swap the tubes for a LC conersion of a fp machine. But sounds like I was lucky: Seller asked for 180 Euros, and I offered less and receives them. But I was searching one year!

Best regards

Marc

I am waiting a set of these lenses bought from a very kind user of this forum (thank you Jörg) Very Happy
I hope that they are compatible for my color corrected G70 c-elements, otherwise I will swap them with the original Barco c-elements (but they are clear).

The set of lenses just arrived.
Watching them I have now a big doubt: the rear lens is concave Shocked Shocked Shocked
It would not have to be convex like in my HD18 set?

Le lenti sono appena arrivate.
Guardandole ora ho un grande dubbio: la lente posteriore e' concava Shocked Shocked Shocked
Non dovrebbe essere convessa come nelle mie HD18?

I think color filtered 8" c-elements (same for HD-18, HD-134 and HD-215) have different radius for concave than Barco 8" c-element (HD117), so those probably aren't working correct when mixed.

So I must swap color filtered c-elements with original clear Barco c-elements?

Probably. Don't have first hand information, but remember reading about this.

If c-elements have different concavity, glycol between tubes face and c-element forms totally different lens that have wrong optical properties for rest of lens assembly.

But you can compare G70 and Barco c-elements concavity if you have both there. Cut template from paper or board...

Yes I have both and I'm sure that circumference is the same because I swapped c-elements when I maked LC conversion.
I hope next week to compare concavity.

Ile,

does this mean hd18 and hd215 work with the same C-Elements???

Decibel,

congratulation on the 24´s! They should resolve really good, because I can remember a post in AVS with testpattern sscreenshots- showing that they fully resolved 1080p! That was also the name of the post...sth like 117.24\-24 plus 1080p if someone wants to dig. But I really read a lot on the 24´s, and highender complaining that there was no filtered elements for the elements. They had to swap the elements for using HD18. But let us know your findings! ....I don´t have the ring on the screwholes - I think thats an adaptor?

Best regards
