I am getting arcs from the green defelection yoke on my Ampro 3600. It stated as an occasional small arc just when the PJ hig voltage started. Today, the coil must have shorted because the coil had many arcs from the coil to the shield. I have a spare green tube (not perfect my any definition), but I do not have a spare deflection yoke. Does any one have a spare laying around?

You might want to check the anode cap on the tube. It is hard to think that the deflection yoke could build up enough voltage to arc anywhere without blowing up the deflection boards.
I'm sure I can dig up a deflection yoke. PM me with a snail mail address and I'll send you one.

Just don't send him one of those modified ones that I sent you. That would really screw him up

I've got a bunch here too, but as tse says, it's most likely the HV lead. Disconnect the HV lead from the HV splitter going to the green. If you get no arcing, it's the HV lead.

Thanks guys. I took the HV lead out of the splitter and no arcing. The HV must have traveled to the pins on the bottom of the yoke to ground. I'll look at the HV boot tommorrow.

Thanks guys! It was the tube, I could not see any arc tracks or damage on the HV plug or lead. But I installed a spare green tube and the arc went away. I do not think I will replace the lead as the arcs took out a couple of boards. I do not want to take a chance on damaging the replacements I just installed. The boards are more getting more valuable than tubes.
