My local craigslist had a Ruby for $750. I disregarded it for a couple days, then though of a friend who might be interested in it. So I researched Ruby prices.
Damn, I found a 2500 hour Ruby on ebay that sold for $1800 recently!!!
I quickly responded to the add, but naturally it was already gone. I could have conceivably flipped it for $1k.
That is almost new tubes!!!!
My point though, is I can't believe the original CRT killer is still selling for such high prices.
And have you seen the price of replacement bulbs for it!?!?

That's OK. I missed a BJ for $20.00 because I couldn't understand what she was saying until she put her teeth back in.

It probably sold for that much because of the name. At this point, I would rather buy a Panny or Epson for the same price.

Used digital projectors sell for really high.... i honestly can't see a big market for these things, but somehow the prices seem way inflated to me. Maybe it's people buying them up for replacement parts.

Yeah, I don't think you missed anything. How much is the lamp for a Ruby? 1-2k?
