Hy everyone,

i'm from germany and very new to the "crt-scene". i've bought an ecp 4500 for around 60euros. it seems that the projector spent his time just being inactive until now. many screws were rusty, so the adjustment of the objectives was very hard.

after doing a basic setup, i realised, that the astigmatism is very misaligned. the setup of the 2pol astig was no problem. but while setting up the 4-pol astig, 3 of the magnets were broken. because of the age and the condition, the magnets were very difficult to move, and finally they broke.

so, in a german forum i bought some crt assemblys from an ecp4100 projector. the user told me they should fit in an ecp4500. finally, they fit but the jokes and size of the crt assembly is different. when i'm trying to start the projector, it only shows v.inhibit. is there any way to remove the astig-magnets from the new crt assembly and put them to my original ecp 4500 crt assembly?

if not, where can i get a crt assembly for my ecp 4500?

thanks a lot for fast response and sorry for my bad english... Smile

i attached a few pictures, showing the differences between the crt assemblies and the whole projector... very nice condition in relation to the price. Very Happy

I've had a 3100 and a 4500 in the past so I'll do my best here given I don't remember too much about the specifics of each PJ
. I just looked at an old picture of my 3100 with 07MS tubes and the yokes on those tubes match the ones you are showing for the 4100. Based on this I don't see any reason why the new yokes would not work on the tubes you have. The 4100 has fewer leads going to the deflection coil so if it does work I would surmise you would loose some of your geometry functions in the 4500. The error you are getting could be related to the wiring differences in the coils. In that case you will need to find a set of coils for a 4500. Hopefully somebody with a little better understanding of this series of PJ will chime in to help you out. Good Luck.

Hello

3100 and 4100 yokes are completely different, not compatible. They are wired differently inside.
