Hi guys
I have the opportunity to buy a pg6 xtra for $300.00. There is no shipping as I will pick it up. I was wonderring if the image quality would be as good as my 4000G Ampro? That is before the pro decided to show its own colors that I have been unable to dial in yet! Here is a pic of the tubes:

I have both of these machines. The Ampro has LC you will see more hallows with the 6pg but the 6pg is sharper.

300 is too much (for me ), but it should still throw a nice pic...overall better than the 4000.

I will go take a look at it saturday. Assuming the pics of the tubes are recent, what would be a good price?

The last four NEC's I've picked up with similar tube conditions were free, if that is any indication of "what is a good price"....
$50., or maybe $100. if it includes the service remote....
PS: The NEC will not just be a little bit sharper, it will be MUCH MUCH sharper, considering the Ampro is ES focus, and NEC's are, generally, the sharpest of the 8" EM machines...

The green tube looks a little worn, I would think $300 is way too much.
There is a guy selling a PG6 Xtra in my town that I would like to get a hold of. The PJ only has 500 hours on it but he wants $800!!! Crazy price IMO even if the tubes are mint.
