I have a Faroudja NRS scaler that I still plan to keep in my system and I am wondering if anyone knows if it can still be upgraded for a new power supply and possibly some selectable resolutions.

I understand Faroudja was doing this some time back, but the last posts on the topic that I can find are several years old. It may not be wise economically, but I need to find out if it can be done at all first.

Has anyone had this done recently?

There is the 'new Faroudja' and the 'old' Call the 'new' company to get the phone number of the 'old' guys who do the rechipping. I talked to them last about 2 years ago, super nice and friendly guys, and I'm sure they can assist.

I can repair the old power supply, they were all outsourced to China, and are crap, but with new parts they work fine. I think Faroudja wanted $100 plus shipping for a new power supply. I'll repair yours with better parts for $80 incl shipping.
