Guys!

My offer was accepted by my source, I should have three of the six sets of HD10E's here in a week or so, the rest in August, plus some nine inch tubes for me to test, more on the tubes later.

HD10E's priced at $850 and shipping, looks like these will go fairly quickly. Two inquiries were from blend users so that is four sets out of the six.

Guys!

The lenses shipped today, should reach me around Wednesday next, along with some hopefully minty 9" Marquee tubes. Two of the six sets of lenses are sold; those interested need to PM me soon.

Guys!

The first three sets of lenses are here and are all sold. Three more sets arriving in 2-3 weeks. Also got in some nicer 9" Marquee tubes with magnetics and covers, phosphors are 9+ to 10, thinking $1800 a set.

Say Nash

We can lower the tab with your GT17s and a minty 9" green tube P19LCP09 or maybe a LUG. And some sort of layaway plan.

No minty green but I do have a BIN red LUG .

The only Minty greens I have are the Thomas tubes that need a major VNB modification. And I am not sure how they would work for white balance with LCP's or LUG's.

If I were you I wouldn't loose a minutes sleep over it. If you convert your 8" blend into a 9" blend and use GT17's for the lenses, I doubt you could actually tell the difference while actually watching a movie. I don't think you're the type to waste your tubes gaming and I don't think you're into sitting there looking at test patterns all night.

Now I know you love your Marquees but, If it were me and I already had one working G-90 and a pile of Thomas tubes, I'd find another cheap G-90 and try that before dumping a couple of grand into lenses.

Here's your challenge for the day (and it's free to you). Pull one neck board from the G-90 and see what it would take to make a Thomas work. I think you'll find it's less work than fitting them to a Quee. Ain't them Thomas's set up with Sony pin-outs? Wink

I'm going to be on vacation for a week starting next Sat. I know you can do it but if you don't have the time, send me the neckboard along with a page from the service manual for the neck board and I'll look at it.

The 4600HD has been humming along just fine since the swap over.

Athanasios,

I could take that G90 off your hands for what you paid for it if ya still want those lenses Tim has? Razz

Guys!

My lens source maintains a number of simulation sites with Marquees; these will be refitted with lamp projectors at some point, so there will be more lenses, not sure when.

I have a happy ending for Athanasios. I switched the last HD10E buyer to GT17s, and Athanasios has a set of GT17s to trade in!!!!!!! Win-win-win!
