I have a doubt about the projector vph1031

I have read that this projector can display a 1080i signal. I know that 540p and 1080i signals use the same bandwidth but the question is how this projector can handle the 1080 lines if is projected to display only 540.

thanks!

As I understand this interlaced means that each alternate line is displayed on each refresh of the screen so at any one time 540 lines are displayed. To get all 1080 lines requires two refreshes of the image.
