I fiddled with Porsches (vrrroooomm!) and ended up with the G70 "flipping" between two memory blocks, so I keep to standard these days. Over the years I've spent too much time trying to get everything "just so", consequently (despite what I'm told) I run with "If it looks good, it is good".

You are fine with that res. One of the biggest misconceptions is that you need three times the video bandwidth to display the res. Consequently, a lot of people thought they needed 186 for 1080p60. Thank you, Extron!! I believe Dizzman over at AVS use to work at Extron and still defends this belief.

If you are running a HTPC, then you only have the computer and the cable in the chain, so there is no degradation to be had between multiple connections.

I use 1080p 59.94Hz as the base scan rate on all the G70's I set up. The G70 won't fully resolve 1080p 60Hz, but it will look very nice none the less.

Htotal = 2200
Vtotal = 1125

My receiver on the front end does not respond.. (only the one on the back when activating it by itself)
Any ideas?

"Index 5" comes up sometimes when dealing with this

You know you can select which IR receiver(s) are on, right? Front, rear, or both?

Or, are you saying even with the projector set to "both", that the front one won't work?

Yes... of those three i can only use the remote when activating "rear" (only)

Just thought G70 owners might be interested in noteing:

I just swapt out my stock OEM panasonic p16 Tubes for first of there type High rez Simulation Grade p16's same pin out as sony G70 P16'08's
(based off the same tech used in the Boeing Sim Grade 9" Lug's that I am reviewing but will post about in the next week or so)..

while I was at it I also replaced the old Optical Glycol & found The G70 LC's hold around 450ml or 16fl ounces ...

This will be the first test of G70 Simulation grade tubes.

I convinced the factory to make 4 of them.

They said they can make as many as we like.

So good news. I think he is going to post a review at some point.

I'm getting an error code 35 on my Sony G70. From what I understand this is related to the E-board. How can I verify this? Also does anyone know how to locate the E-board?

How would the g70 compare to my current Barco 808s... no biased opionions here, i'm sure. I might be able to get my hands on one for cheap, hence my question.
