So i get an E-mail from a local AV shop. they are having a debut party for this speaker....

The Magico Q5. I wasn't familiar w/ the company so i did some research... it seems interesting.

The enclosure is milled out of 1/4 in Anodized aluminum Shocked they weigh about 400 lbs each...

And they retail for 54k a pair!

Shocked Shocked

I'll post my impressions this weekend

Can you imagine the shipping cost on those things? I guess Freight is a mute point at a $54K price point. Those that can afford to pay that for a pair of speakers probably own a freight company.

Listening to speakers like that is like looking at a Playboy. The girls may look nice but there's no way YOU'LL ever get 'em!!

Just go0t in from the Demo... Will write a full review tomorrow w/ Pics...

A couple of observations...

1. The owner and other guys at Overture A/V in Wilmington are Top notch... Really nice and knowledgable

2. The Magico guys were good guys as well...

3. Those speakers KICK ARSE!!! Crisp clear, not at all harsh, great low end.... Superb.
