TV/Projector: All of them!

Managed to score a free late model Xbox 360 today with the HDMI output! Problem was, no RRoD, but the CD ROM wouldn't read anything. Not expecting much, I cracked it open, only to find the whole unit covered in tiny fine dust particles.. which also were all over the laser! Cleaned the film off the laser and the rest of the machine, and WHAM! the unit started working. Not bad for free! Smile

But, I'd read online that M$ changed the heatsinking on the CPU and GPU chips to cure the RROd, and boy, did they ever! I figure they doubled the size of the heatsink, and heck, they even have a small freon tube between the two or three heatsinks to transfer the heat more evenly. Still, I read about RRoDs occurring on the later XBoxes, so I don't know how much better the newer units are, but there's some useless info for you.

Good to know, Curt. I keep thinking I'll snag a 360 on craigslist cheap, but everybody must know about all the fixes, because A) There are lots of standing offers to buy broken, and B) All the sellers seem to ask within $50 of a working used one for their borked one, or even within $100 of a new one... And often they come with no PSU or controller. Duh... Let me think about that one. Rolling Eyes
