Baaahahahaha... My dad and I just picked up a couple of these! It's a riot. The kids love it, but now my wife hates it... It finds its own way back to the charging base when its battery gets low... Well, the kids must have bumped it out of its charging base, because I get a call yesterday...
wife - Umm.. Honey, are you driving the Rovio?
SC - No, I'm in the car... Why?
wife - Because it just started driving around in the living room.
SC - But, just around its base, right?
wife - Well, yeah... But it looked like it was looking around... It's freaking me out... Are you sure somebody isn't using it? Could your dad be using it?
SC - No, no, no... One of the kids must have knocked it out its base, the battery got low, and it went driving around to find its "homing beacon" and reposition so it could recharge... Is it back in its base, now?
wife - Yeah, it is... But, I feel like it's watching me, now. I want it out of the living room. It's not staying in here...
SC - Arrgghhh... I gotta go.
Down to the basement it will probably go. 
It's not perfect. I don't like the wheel/control setup... It's neat because it can move in almost any direction without rotating like a typical wheeled vehicle, but it gets hung up a little on the goofiest things - like a threshold. Still, it's a fun toy.
We got it for crazy cheap... I think it was $89 one day on Woot a couple of weeks ago. I also saw it on Buy.com for $129 or $119.
Fun little toy.
