Got a link to the cable? It sounds like it will go DVI to 5BNC so yes it should work. Just make sure to set your PC to a lower resolution to start. Say 1024x768.

I've never tried a DVI-I to 5-BNC before, but I have done VGA to 5-BNC. That was my mainstay hookup up until the Moome and HDfury cards allowed the use of HDMI. If you have a DVI-I port, then you can use it, but if you have a standard VGA port as well, it should be just as good. The only reason to use DVI from a PC when using a CRT projector IMHO, is if you have a Moome or video processor that will accept the PC's digital signal. Since CRT projectors are analog, I would save your cash and get a nice VGA to 5 BNC cable.
I'm not familiar with Barcos, so not sure what the 800 is capable of resolution-wise, but I would suggest you invest in a good cable. It's one of those things that you should only buy once and that you can take to your next projector when you want to upgrade. There are some good links on Curt's products site to some good cable sellers that are reasonably priced.
What is your overall setup going to be? Just the PC, or will you have other source components as well?

Remember, you must set output to negitive sync or it will not work. Many devices are set to positive sync.

no problem, DVI-I cables are good for both DVI standards, set your sync and make sure your output device is not set to a higher scan rate than the projector can handle.

Dude, keep it in one thread! I just answered you in your other thread. Stop making new threads and maybe you'll get more help because you'll see the responses.

Yes please keep your questions in one thread of your own. Don't start a new thread just to ask a new question. We understand that you have a BG800 and are trying to set it up as best you can. Please help us help you by reading the manuals. I know they are hard to understand at first but you will gain a lot of knowledge about your projector and the entire hobby of crt projectors if you read more and take it a little slower.

Buy an HD Fury 3. Its switchable from positive to negative sync and feed your 800 1080i from a blu ray player via HDMI.

Still not quite sure why you want to hook up your PC to the Barco... As an HTPC ?
If its just for movies buy a cheap blu ray player.
