I am looking for the R762746 video amps to eliminate streaking in my bd808S (hard to find). Nitec has R7622746 on ebay could this be an error on the part#? Does anyone know if these will work on my machine? Thanks.

I don't know about the part number maybe you should email him and ask to confirm. It might also be for the Sony tubed Barco Graphics 808s which are much more common? I did this swap on my Barco Data 808s and it fixed the streaking but I got a "candle" flicker effect on all three tubes at low IRE. I had multiples of the boards so it wasn't that. Never did get to the bottom of it and I have seen a 1208s/2 with the same issue and it used the same type of boards. I ended up swapping back to the standard RGB amps because I preferred the streaking to the flickering. Luckily I ended up getting a 1209s (Runco 1100) and that solved both issues.

I have a set of these in excellent condition, tested with cap upgrades.

The R7622746 are the 120mhz "S" version neck boards that can also be used to replace the 60mhz earlier version boards that were found on the data 808.

BTW I just looked at Niktec's price and I think it is pretty high. I got mine years ago from HammerHead when CRT projectors were worth a whole lot more and it was about $100 each. I'd look cheap Barco Retro Graphics 808s or Barco 1208s/2 /e to get the boards from before paying that price.

Yea, they are asking much more than i'm willing to pay. I was hoping they would accept a lower offer. And if there is a chance of them causing some other problem i think i'll pass. Thanks

His prices tend to be quite high. If you do make any purchase make sure you use a postal service with a tracking number. I purchased an item from him that never arrived and Paypal had to get involved. Of course there was no tracking number and therefore no confirmation that it was posted in the first place. A really bad situation for both parties.

Just an FYI you can mix and match the boards. So if you find one cheap you can put in on one of your tubes and see if you get the candle flicker effect (it will only show up on the tubes with the newer style boards if it does). My 1209s uses essentially the same boards (tube socket is rotated 180 degrees but otherwise the same) and it does not flicker at all.
