I use both, for different purposes.
I use the Moome card all the time for Blu-ray/HD-DVD/Laserdisc. It is completely compatible with my audio processor, which handles source switching. This is the big advantage of this card- seamless integration, and HDCP compatibility. This will be important if Blu-ray titles start using the image constraint token more often.
My personal experience is that the RAMDACs in a high-end video card have a somewhat higher bandwidth than the Moome card, giving a sharper picture. I have an unusual screen aspect ratio, and I need a custom resolution- which is more difficult over HDMI due to the EDID in the card. Analog RGBHV solved a lot of problems right away, and I use this connection for gaming.
I should mention that I have the second version of the card, which has dual HDMI inputs, but not the Mike Parker mods. But, not to worry- I'm expecting the new version any day. This is a great product and I have no problem getting another one. BUT analog has its uses also!
I would think the Moome card was essential, if only for the HDCP compatibility.
Thanks, Mark
