|
|
Hi, I have a XG1101LC projector. When I was watching TV, the red tube quit projecting. I checked the menu for a test pattern and still no red tube. When I selected Picture function on the remote I got a picture but to much red. When I turn the projector off then back on, the red tube is then off.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
Steve

Could be the Neckboard.
Could be the Video Out, or Gain boards.
Could be the tube.
I would think about swapping R and B neckboards to see if the problem goes with the neckboard.

I would NOT run this set. It could also be the V board, and the electron beam could be way off the face of the tube. WIth a picture, the tube neck can snap within 30 seconds of running it. It's happened to me and others here.
I'd send some boards up for testing/repair.

Hi Curt, what boards should I send for test and repair?
What is the best way to send them? What address should I send them too.
