Interesting, of the top 50 selling albums on heavy vinyl Hendrix has 5, Led Zeppelin = 0 . Surprised

I'm guessing price is playing at least a small part there, with many of the Zep albums running well over $100 Shocked

Hendrix may have been a better lead guitarist, but Page is a better overall guitarist and musician.

The main thing that people discount Page on is his lead playing. But that aspect was far less important to him. For Page it was always first and foremost about the song. This definitely was/is not the case for Hendrix, SRV, Stev Vai, etc.

well said.
I am a big LZ fan, and Hendrix is always in the short stack beside the turntable. All art is derivative and how the artist reinterprets the material or technique is what makes them great..

or $500. Shocked
That's what happens when something goes out of print. The albums were originally like $35.0 from Classic records which re-mastered them supposedly with Jimmy Page. So now, your either looking at the original Atlantic / Swan Song version or paying out the nose for the Classic records out there. I have 3 of them, shoulda bougth more.

I use to trade vinyl about 20 years ago. That was back when people thought vinyl would disappear. I bought a "Stairway to Heaven" in the bargain bin for $3.00 because the "much better and indestructible" CD was out. I got two guys in a bidding/pissing contest over that and made out like a bandit. I love Hendrix, but I do not think I know enough on the page to give an impartial decision.they both play with great emotion and I think they are about even there, but still difficult compare. It's like asking which is better, Fender, Gibson, they are both excellent for the styles, they are designed for, it depends if you want a clear gloss or a gentle voice full of long sustain.
