They're both awesome. Asking which is better is like asking which supermodel is hotter than another, or which super car you'd rather have. You might prefer one over the other, but you'd be happy to have either.
Hendrix was creative, innovative, a master of the guitar... Truly amazing. Page was awesome too, though. He created a whole new style.

I find Hendrix a little more intimate. I've just been listening with headphones on. Wow.
Page had a 'bigger' sound.

Hendrix may have been a better lead guitarist, but Page is a better overall guitarist and musician.
The main thing that people discount Page on is his lead playing. But that aspect was far less important to him. For Page it was always first and foremost about the song. This definitely was/is not the case for Hendrix, SRV, Stev Vai, etc.

Dude I agree mostly. I wouldn't say the most overrated. but certainly overhyped.
Hendrix wasn't a guitarist in the truest sense, he made the instrument push ,no emote his feelings into the world of sound, true musical expression of his "SELF"

you could certainly argue that point, simply from the perspective that LZ stole or covered most of their music, especially albums 1 through 4. They used to say Jimmy Page spent more time in court fighting copyright infirngment of Blue's artists who's Songs he appropriated than he spent in concert.
Also, first 5 LZ albums sound like sh*t, I dunno who mastered them but they are almsot unlisteable. Physical Garffiti and everythng that followed was much better.
Hendrix OTOH had a master tech. behind the console and even by Todays standards guys like Steve Hoffman or Stan Ricker have a hard time making a big improvement.

Like most agree, they are both GREAT! Hendrix has my top billing! And to throw SRV in the mix, MAN! That's just about the best 3 that ever did and will play guitar.
I think Hendrix was more creative and made the instrument produce way more than it was designed to do.
