I have 64" Zenith RPTV with 9" LC tubes that may have CRT fungus. When I get the time I will take off the back panel and look into the lenses to see whats up.

The green and blue raster lines are fat and blurry but only on the right side of the screen (starts at right center). Fine text will have green blooming/halos etc. I had the set ISF calibrated and the guy could not fix the problem and didn't know what was wrong. The only thing that can cure this problem is setting the g2 voltage at a higher point (just before retrace lines). This cures the problem by 90% and the green bleeding whatever its called is eliminated. I know this can wear out the tubes but I've been running it this way for a few yrs now. TV techs in my area think that a blurry RPTV is normal so they are of no use to me. Thanks to this site I've come to find out about things like astigmatisim and fungus etc. I would post screenshots of the problem but because the G2 is turned up the picture currently looks fine.

Anyway, if this is indeed the problem I don't I want risk doing this on my own. I've seen the DIY guide here at curtpalme and while I'm pretty sure I can do it there is a slight risk of damaging something.

I'm trying to find someone in the NY area that has done this fungus removal procedure before and is willing to do it for me
thanks
