142XXX designates SMB part numbers.
152XXX designates SMC part numbers.

i discovered my mistake, the plug i ordered was under the category smb but it is an smz.
i just mailed farnell and asked me if they are willing to sell me the plug i need for a reduced price.
http://nl.farnell.com/amphenol/smb6112d1-3gt30g-5-50/plug-smb-right-angle-50r/dp/1111344
lets hope they agree.

it looks that way but it isnt if you look at the drawing the outer diameter shows 6.5mm the one i have now is almost 9mm.
and they all look the same that is what makes this so confusing especially with tricks like smb series smz type connector.

What you have to look at is the cable type it uses. that will determin the size i think.
what might work so you dont spend any more money is send me a connector if you bought a lot of them, I'll see if they have a two hole flange type for that connector. if not then you'll have to order connectors and sockets to match. I'll send these back, I thinkt hey are way to small anyhow the cable would be thinner than the stock marquees.

they do have to fit the vnb however if you are going for a smz socket they might not fit.
i will take a look now the mounting holes MUST be 8mm apart and a thinner cable doesnt mean it is any worse, the contact resistance is much much lower with the new connector.
the cable i am using now is 0.7mm 7*0.1mm and the insulation is abou 1.5mm, that is the part that goes in the plug.

the socket you have now, how far are the mounting holes apart from center to center.
if they are 8mm apart then that is the right socket and i will need other plugs that take the rg179 type cable.
