Hello friends
We have been asked the question on your DVI, component or HDMI over CAT5 adapters should they make the CAT5 cables conforming to 568A or 568B?
What do you recommend?
What cable do you recommend for most applications...
1. CAT5
2. CAT5E
3. CAT5E shielded
4. CAT6 or any

Are you referring to the Blu-Wire T1/R1 HDMI Extension Kit?

If so, the specs page says "Solid, bonded Cat5e/6/7 (Cat6 or Cat7 required for 1080p applications)". The specs go on to recommend a couple of specific Cat 5e and Cat 6 Belden cables (UTP - unshielded).

As for 568A or 568B, I can't see how they wouldn't be equivalent for this purpose.

Well I think it Depends on which AT&T system do you have. If it require two pairs terminated at the jacks use either terminate 568-A pair, if four, use 568-B. Both are standard and both will let you connect a 2-line phone through them as long as they are terminate the same. 568A uses the proper coloring to do this like blue pair centre then the orange pair on the outside. 568B is currently more popular, look at most Cat-5 patch cables you buy.
