|
|
When attempting to run my 1031QM with a 480p signal the "Hi Scan" LED on the back will light up and picture appears to be stable and will display fine for about 5 to 10 minutes but after that the projector will just cut out and the fans will stay running until pressing the power button to switch it off completely. It doesn't seem to matter what the source is - it happens when running either my PC (640x480) using a custom built VGA to SCART RGB cable or when running my PS2 into it (and playing a game that supports 480p) using a SCART RGB cable I bought for the PS2. What could be causing this to happen? Is there a faulty component in my projector or is it just something I need to adjust?

Hello
Not all 1031s can scan 32khz; check your chassis version.

Hi, where would I find the chassis version? The only number I can find is the serial number down on a sticker on the side.

Thanks for the helpful info. From reading those two links and looking at my serial (5003201) I have figured that my 1031QM could perhaps be one of the earlier ones that only supports up to 32KHz and therefore the reason why it's cutting out is because it's getting very near its limit when running at 480p. Would I be correct to assume this? Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening though? - e.g. adjusting the "high freq pot" that has been mentioned in the second link?
Also, from looking at my serial number above, is it possible for anyone to be able to make an estimation of the date that my 1031QM was manufactured? - I'm just curious to know

Unfortunately I've already given away the 1031Q that I had, otherwise I'd look for you. I could never get 1080i working correctly, so I stuck to 540P.
