|
|
I'm using a Barco BD 801s data with a HD cable box into a IScan HD than into a 1040 lite.My problem is when watching shows it will go dark until it re-syncs ? Is there any way to speed up the sync on Barco BD801s ?There is no problem with dvds or bluerays .My Barco has fast or slow sync in the setup menu.Any thoughts or fixes. Thanks Darryl

Slow sync is for anything up from composite or s-video sources.
Is there glitches when you are watching or do you mean it only resyncs when you chance source?
Can you check with other display if there is same glitches in HD cable box signal?

I'm able to hook it up to a Sony LCD flatscreen and no problem.Only on the HD PVR/cable box.Usually during commercials and sometimes during shows when they flash scenes quickly. It also happens when fast forwarding through commercials when show is recorded. It's just annoying.I was wondering if there was a modded port 5 card to fix the problem with slow sync.I never had this problem just using the IscanHD now if only it didn't pass thru 1080i.Thanks Darryl

Do you think if I replace my ISCAN HD with a new dvdo that will process output of BlueRay and HD cable box (1080i) that sync will not be an issue? Thanks Darryl

I think you just need to set your cable box to output 1 resolution, like 1080i. If you have it set to auto then it will change when the channel you are watching changes broadcast resolution. They might broadcast commercials at 480p then the show will be 1080i. My cable box allows me to select any or all of the following: 480i, 480p, 1080i, or 720p. If I had it set to all then when I change channels the resolution changes to whatever the channel is broadcasting. I am not sure if any channels broadcast different shows or commercials in different resolutions as I set mine to 1080i only right away. But it sounds to me like that is what is happening.
