I have a friend who has a harmon series 2 projector from 1992. He wants to sell it to me for 100 bucks. I believe it has HD145 lenses and a mount. It comes with a JBL or JVC(cannot remember which brand) video unit. I did not knot 145 lenses exhisted in 1992. However the mount and lenses might be worth the 100 bucks. I have nerver heard of this unit.....anyone?

If it's a vision 2 then it's a Marquee 8500. It's a steal for 100 bucks.
It can take anything HD has to offer although it'll need optimizing in order to cleanly resolve 1080p.

E'home never made sets for Harman, and the Marquee didn't exist in 1992 anyways.
Harman did make their own line of sets, but sold very few. I've only ever seen one local one that went through 3 power supplies in its life. I ended up selling the customer a Barco 800 back in 2000 to replace that one.
The lenses if colored, are worth the $100. Not sure what tubes are in it, and I think it will do 480p, not sure about 1080i.

Just wanted to bump this really quickly. I got a Vidikron Image 2 in today for the first time ever, a local repair.
What a piece of junk inside! Very poor construction, more jumper wires on the boards than an early model ECP! 
Looks like the tubes are Toshiba EM focusing, same as used in a DWIN 500 (?).
I've got it running, but not very well. Stay away from this one, not that there are many out there..
