Hi Shar here is Moome's Email
moome@curtpalme.com
At A Guess I would say there are still Marquee Vim full HD v2 input cards available as Moome tends to let us know hear through the mod's when the Full-HD v2 Cards start running low...
Cheers...

makes sure the projector is turned off. The only thing on the card I had to change was color space, from 15-235 to 0 -255. Some people say the second choice isn't as good but it's what I prefer.
Make sure to print and follow the instructions.

draganm, this isn't the color space, this is the luminance range It should also not be set by preference, it should be set to match your source device. If you use a source that supplies 0-255 (some HTPC's and some set top boxes) then set the Moome to match 0-255. If you use sources that are 16-235, you should set the Moome to match that.
Most BD players can do either 0-255 or 16-235 in the RGB "color space." However, if you use YCbCr 444 or 422 this is ALWAYS 15-235 and this is where the Moome should be set if the source is YCbCr.
If you set the Moome to the correct luma range and it doesn't look correct you need to adjust the brightness and contrast in the projector.

I was under the impression that we should only use 16-235 for Blu-ray. As using the 444 or 422 setting would result in an unnecessary conversion by the Blu-Ray player.

craigr | I have a pannasonic BD-80 with direct HDMI out. at 16-235 there was only DLP blacks, even with Brightness turned down to 20%. The top end looked crushed too, like there was no dynamic range to the picture.
I don't recall a lumi range setting on the Pani and I'm not sure what range it puts out but with card set to 0/255 the pic is fantastic.

I know I am the last guy you want to hear this from, But could you have adjusted the Contrast screw on the Moome card instead of the Gamma screw?

I must say I really love the pic I'm getting now, FFTB, good shadow detail, excellent colors, etc. etc. It would be insteresting to set up aniother channel and have some like CIR do a full ISF and then compare the 2. Good possibility I might still prefer my "home brew"

Normaly before you install the Moome card you set the Gamma screw to Off by turning Anti clock wise untill you hear little click sound, then I turn the Gamma Screw clock wise 1-2 Full turns to start with..
I dont touch the Contrast Screw because it is set at factory for Video 16-235..
For best results if inputing YcBcR 4:2:2 from blu-ray player Press Button "C" on the Full HD Remote to ingage Black Boost function otherwise the projected Pic is to dark.. (I think alot of people miss this important step)..
Now set Contrast and Brightness of Projector to correct values, then Set Gamma by turning Gamma Screw for Course adjustment or remote for Fine adjustment to desighered preference, I prefer to target 2:35 rather than 2:2 with my set up in my light controlled theatre...
Cheers..

When your Moome Card was set for 16-235 did you ever ingage Black Boost Function By Pressing Button "C" on Full-HD remote ?... other wise the projected image will be to Dark to start with and will look wrong..
Moome Uses Black boost function (button C) also with his G90..
Cheers..

Cheers.. | Well first of thanks for pointing tht out, I've been using moome for years and never even heard of "black boost"? Do you mean Gamma boost on the low end?
Second, the problem I'm having is the picture is not Black at all. I know this is connected to the Panasonic players. I'm here in AZ now and on my fiends 8500 You only get Black with Brightness at 0. G2's are correct and player set to Cinema mode. This unfortunately is Moome HDMI1.2 card, without 0/255 luminance range option :
BBF is a new feature for VIM-FULLHD V2, I attache the datasheet on.

Update For users of Panasonic BD series players, under HDMI "connection" switch the RGB output range from "standard" to "enhanced" for full FFTB and better color saturation .
FFTB was always something I had trouble with on this player and this is why.
