I just upgraded my old Microsoft Explorer mouse to a Logitech G500 gaming mouse. Feels sweet in the hand and has all the necessary additional buttons I want.

I downloaded latest software for Vista 64 from Logitech instead of using the CD.

Everything works fine EXCEPT the left click is acting like right click in that it brings up the menu EVERY DAMN TIME.

I checked the mouse in the control panel and it didnt swap from right handed to left handed (both buttons act like right click anyway).

Don't know where else to check.

My laptop touchpad left click works....if I plug the Microsoft mouse back in it still works...confused.

My wife has a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 on her Mac Mini. She called me from work and said her mouse was screwed up. Everything worked fine except up and down were reversed. If you pushed the mouse forward it went down and backward went up. I looked at EVERYTHING under system preferences, reset the mouse and computer, googled every variation of "f*ck***-up-mouse" I could think of . . . nothing.

Then I replaced the battery.

I'm a moron.

I was thinking of getting the Microsoft Natural wireless mouse. It looks like the 45 degree hand position is much more comfortable.
