Trying to improve picture quality (in particular to remove unnatural look of human skin) displayed in my TV I decided to use Spyder II colorimeter and HCFR software.
Since the only one control accessible from the TV Menu that impacts on RGB levels is Colour Temperature I measured greyscale for all its available presets to check which one offers most balanced RGB levels and temperature close to 6500K.
The best results I got for LOW colour temperature preset however blue level was still about 140% and red about 95%. Due to this fact colour temp. is much more higher than 6500K. Switching to higher temperature presets blue level was increasing further more up to almost 200% and green and red level remained more or less unchanged.
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to adjust particular primaries to reduce blue level (there are only sliders for Backlight, Brightness, Colour, Contrast, Tint and Sharpness).
Can onyone look at graphs below and tell me if this TV is faulty and could be complained or if it is simply poor quality display?
Of course performing measurements I disabled all automatic features like automatic contrast, DNR, power saving etc.
1. Luminance
2. RGB levels
3. Gamma (I could reach average gamma close to 2.2 only when contrast is decreased to available minimum but then pictures seems to be dimmed)
4. Colour Temperature (the best result that I got, temp. preset set to LOW)
