Is there a proceedure for establishing the position of the "factory service adjust" bolt? This is one of the 3 large hex cap bolts securing the lens mounting plate. The other 2 bolts are used to adjust focus. If the lenses are removed, how do you determine the correct depth of the lens mounting plate. I assume when doing the guided mechanical setup, you factor in another step in the focusing process using the 3rd bolt. If not done correctly, the verticle height of the crosshatch is larger on one side. Can someone direct me to a document that explains where to set the "factory service adjust" bolt?

I think should be 17mm. But i have found myself that i had to remove the factory cover on the factoy bolt and adjust that as well to get proper Scheimflug , so start at 17mm from the tube face and go from that.

Thank you both for your input. I especially appreciate the clarification regarding air gap.

Regards,
