Yes, that's an advantage over the VP50. Does it do so at anything other than 1080? Back when I inquired long ago, I was told by Jim or Pat that while the HDP would do any line count from 480-1080p (progressive), in interlaced mode you were limited to 1080i only.
Just curious if that changed, because if not, you can't do 96i along with AAS (active area scanning). The VP50 will do any line count, in either interlaced or progressive mode (so no problem with AAS), but missed one very useful syncLocked frequency (96 Hz), even though it can go all the way out to 120 Hz.

The biggest Gripe for me in regards to the Lumagen Vision HDQ Pro is Its only DVI, So would much prefer A VP50 with HDMI 1:1,
HDMI is superior to DVI given well implemented HDMI components, configuration, video chain IMO...
If I Was in the market for A new VP I would seriously/only consider the Lumagen Radiance XE (or wait for the 3D VP) Due to HDMI 1:3a Compliant and excellent product support...
