Yep 2 years old. I fixed the PCB board. That part's fine.
Just getting back to the video issue.

The red and blue are stable. The green flickers.
MAC!!! Any ideas where to start on this one?

Well, you have that thing narrowed down now, lol.
I see that has a large green neck board so there is no swapping them around. 4 directions come to mind as to the problem.
The video line, the G2 line, problem on that neck board itself or a bad tube.
The easiest to try first is to swap the G2 wire with the red. I am pretty sure those wires just pull right off the back of the screen/focus control.
After the swap, if the flicker does not stop do a quick test of the green screen control anyways to makes sure it is ok before putting it back. The red tube should adjust with the green screen control.

Hey it's amazing what you can do with a TV for 5 years
Yeah, I actually suspected the screen controls as my neighbour tweaked the red too high which was causing the TV to go into protection and shut down.
Fortunately SONY put paint across the controls so I tweaked the red back to where it started and the TV came up OK.
I'll check this out and let you know.
