So I built a new PC to replace my part time HTPC and wanted to start from scratch as opposed to ghosting/cloning everything. I didn't have any problems reinstalling anything I previously purchased and registered until I got to TheaterTek. The program installed just fine (v 2.2 w/audio pak) but for the life of me I couldn't find the email I printed with the activation code. So I shot them an email....once I finally tunneled down through their obscure website hierarchy and found a support link. That was over two weeks ago and I haven't heard a peep from them! I included the Invoice Number, the date, the name it was purchased under, etc. etc., and still no reply. Evil or Very Mad

Anybody else have any luck getting through to them? I HATE getting on the phone with vendors who have a newer version of anything as they piss me off by wasting my time trying to sell me their latest and greatest. v2.2 does everything I need at this point and although their software isn't expensive, I just don't want to upgrade until I get an internal BR drive.

While I'm whining to ya'all I might as well ask....is there a better player out there that's HD capable that won't break the bank that's better than TT? I don't use the HTPC all that often so have tried to keep the price down throughout the entire hardware upgrade process.

Thanks guys!

AFAIK Theatertek is dead.

Even if it's not....it's not HD capable, it's DVD only basically.

Zoom Player and MPC-HC (free) can both play bluray discs if Anydvd HD is installed.
