Hey guys!

Need some help. After a grueling 6 months with nothing but trouble with hvps and a burn in a tube im almost at an end.
Finally I got it up and running, but My marquee is not remembering my convergens and size settings when the machine is turned off and on again. After convergens I save he settings but they are way off every time the marquee is turned on again. The size setting is of every time too. Any solution. What am I doing wrong?

Moby

Hello

Push UTIL, 1, and look at 3, settings will not save if a memory is locked. Also, your control board backup battery could be weak.

Its unlocked. I also tried to lock it after making the settings but that didnt work either. Im not sure where the control board backupbattery is located. Do you have a link with a picture.

Its on the CLM, that is the board on the back of the Projector with the LED lights and the three rs 232 connectors. it unscrews and just pulls out. the battery is easy to see as it is an orange square with "renata" on it. the voltage should be close to 3v if under 2.8 it needs to be replaced. it is soldered to the board so you need to take a measurement from the underside locating the batter pins.

I had that CLM here (along wih a few other boards I tested for Moby) and while I didn't re-build the CLM I did run it for days and saw no problem with saving settings? Check to make sure ASR is off, if it's doing and automatic source re-call then that would explain this.
Also, is the machine getting the same source singal every time? If it's a cable box sending different resolutions for different channels then size and convergence will be different every time.
I really don't thik it's the battery, if the battery was bad all Geometry and other settings would be lost too, not just size and conv.
