Hi,

I have had an intermittent problem with my Barco 1208/2 where the white balance would all of a sudden fail. Usually, it comes back but this time it looks like it has failed completely.

When it failed, the projector's white balance went completely out. Essentially, there is way too much blue in the picture and the white balance controls do not work:

Red Gain
Blue Gain
Red Cutoff
Blue Cutoff

When I adust these, I can move the settings from 0 to 100, but the actual gain/cutoff does not make any change on the screen (color balance does not change at all).

Also, the normal Contrast and Brightness buttons on the remote do not bring up any on-screen adjustment sliders.

Can someone help localize where this problem is occuring? (which board?)

Thanks.

TV/Projector: All of them!

I can't say I've had this before, so all I can guess is that the controller board itself could be bad, or either of the RGB switcher or quad decoder. If you want, I can test all those for you.
