Some early Barcos had those lenses. TAC 3 is newer design, but can't say if it's any better. I think both are similar all plastic lenses for video only projectors.
If you are looking for sharper lenses, many have been used HD6 instead of TAC3. It's straight swap. These are hybrid design, meaning that critical lenses are glass.
HD144/HD145 is then next step up, but color filtered versions cost more than your projector.
