Update: Gozer is working fine now. The Cellphone is NOT being cut off any more. The Boards that Mike Parker gave me as replacements are not causing any issues. There is still some background video noise in the image but I don't think it is abnormal at this point. There is no herringbone, just some, static, fuzz, in the image in rare scenes, not all the time.

The issue with the cellphone was linked to the Microns somehow. The last boards that were used that caused the cellphone to drop out, were an 03 VIM, 2 stock neckboards, and 1 Micron neckboard still in the chain. Once the Micron board was removed, the cellphone worked at all frequencies. I am NOT saying that it was the Micron board, just that it was apparently amplifying something or ... what Question

EDIT: As Mike points out below the cellphone was cutting out before the Mikrons , The Herringbone was only when the Mikrons were inplace. Why replacing the Original M/P boards eradicated the cellphone issue is still an unknown. I was sidetracked with the cellphone being the main issue for a while a forgot that Herringbone was Mikron related and cellphone was not.

Now since there is still some kind of noise in the picture there might still be something amiss. But it doesn't effect the cellphone or picture enough to warrant any further chasing. The H/V problem has also stopped. I did a re-initialization and all is well now. It may have been an extreme set-up causing stress on something, I just don't know.

I never did test the yokes because the problem went away with the new boards in place. I will keep looking for any signs that the issue is returning, but until then I am just going to watch movies.

I also have used the EyeOne Display2 to calibrate GOZER and the 2 point bullseye is dead center at 20ire and 80ire. Color temp is 6524K Thumbs Up

Now If only I could figure out the Eleven point grayscale Wink

Well glad your able to watch movies now. for the other background noise, disconnect all your astig amp cables. Since i discovered the problem on my ultras I wonder if some of the noise we see is the same issue.

Help me to understand this... If the problem you were having was happening with the projector before the mod upgrade to Mikrons, at least that's what you had told me several times. And what you told us the last time you were down. How could the problem be related to the Mikrons when it was present on that 9500 when you purchased it?

It seems that the Mikrons had a problem working in that 9500. and I'm not sure if that had something to do with the preexisting noise or not. I know we could not duplicate that noise problem you were having with the Mikrons when we put the same boards in both of my Marquees here.

This has truly been an adventure. The most confusing CRT projector problem I've ever known about.

Anyway, what really matters is, you can now operate your cell phone and watch a movie at the same time..Mr. Green

What's really confusing is, he's had so much trouble with the first that he's actually considering a second without fully resolving the first ones problems.
Can you say glutton for punishment?

Look, let's talk smarts here. You should never consider blending or stacking until you've mastered the use of one. When you can make one do whatever you want, then consider a second in the mix. I was going to say I'm sorry but I'm not.
You're setting your self up for failure BIG TIME.
