Well that's perfect! A cell phone scrambler built in like some of the 'real' movie theaters so there are no annoying calls. |
Geez, now you sharpened the stick. Oww quit it..... Jab... . Oww quit it ..... Jab...

Ok, I am going to repair This P/J. I will chronicle how that goes in the forum. Should I continue here or start a new thread?
I'm sure it's going to be VERY HOT and entertaining, and will be done here out in the open for all to see.
New thread or continue thread that has over 850 views in 1 day?

Now that would be a waste of a good Red C element and nice new bellows.

seriously, don't waste your time.
PM me I will send you a prepaid address label to an approved disposal site in Kamloops... hell I will even send you little fake red and blue lenses to glue on the front of your "new and improved" projector.

Athanasios |
That WAS me being nice. Otherwise I would have suggested he just drag it to the cliff edge and let-er-R.I.P.

Well Thanks for the encouragement
But I believe that the Modded boards are the problem. Another forum member has graciously agreed to loan me boards to swap out to verify what is the problem and his time VIA phone to diagnose the issue. I will have the following known working boards to swap in
CLM
Neckboards
VIM
HDM
And a fresh CALM person with no personal gain or LOSS to help with the process.
So it ain't going to the landfill.
It ain't going off a cliff. { which I couldn't do anyway, I'm 2 feet above sea level there aren't any hills here let alone cliffs]
It will be fixed [more like corrected] not parted out.
Flame away

so your saying Kamloops is still an option then....
excellent
glad to hear you are working it out. When you do get it set up to a level you enjoy- bring in a digital and do a side by side so you can see what you would lose.

IF Kamloops is at the south end of the cliff then your chances are getting better every day.

Definitely. I think you'd be really quite disappointed in the two machines you mentioned as potential replacements.

OK 1st part of replacing things. I ordered a remote from Curt, since I thought mine was going flaky. It will not function with the blu-ray or old dvd player sending a signal to GOZER. This happens with the new Moome card or my Old Moome installed. The remote worked fine from the start and now a 2nd one doesn't relay the signal, or more likely the signal is being block by an unknown issue that was not present before Modding, HMM?
This problem started after the last time the MODDER look at the boards.
Maybe there was more to this

Put new batteries in the new remote Curt just sent me, same issue. [And of course I replaced the batteries in the old remote too.]
Must be me the Moron, or the machines fault right?
Stay tuned> Each exciting board replacement will be excruciatingly detailed.

This problem started after the last time the MODDER look at the boards. | your getting a little silly here Dave, the video chain has absolutely nothing to do with the remote. The remote signals are processed by Chip U16 on the CLM and could be affected by oxidation on the chips contacts or possibly the small Tantalum buffering chip next to it. I also had a machine here that wouldn't respond correctly to the remote no matter what I did. It turned out to be a bad back-plane or motherboard as I swapped everything else over to a new chassis to fix it.
If someones helping you and loaning parts that's great, I wish you success. However only a fool would invest more money into that machine in it's current condition. It's a clunker and if you really want to hang onto it your best bet is to ship the whole thing to someone who can go through it. Someone needs to take a hard look at the MB and back-plane, on a 9500LC chances are very high for these to be poisoned by Glycol.
