Setting up this pg and the focus pot for red seems to have no stop points...and, of course..the pot makes no difference to the on screen focus. ALso, the menu for focus doesn't do anything for red either....I guess I need to repair my deflection board?

Yep, sounds like you need a new pot. Do you need the value of it?

indeed....any info is appreciated. Is putting in a new pot something that will require some soldering?

Yes, and delicate soldering at that. You still need the value or are you going to have someone else change it for you?

I'll do it, or I'll bring it into work and let one of the pro's do it...what part of the soldering is delicate? Is it a very small solder?

The soldering is delicate because you dont want to overheat or prolonged heat to a variable resistor because you can damage it. Other wise its pretty straight forward.

Let the pro's do it, if you have access to pro's, it'd be a shame not to take advantage of that great resource...
