Hi, i'm from Germany and a new member of this Forum.

This site was everytime a big help for me and now i have a problem with a Sony 1041QM.

Sorry for my english.

After i replaced the blue tube of the 1041QM i got this failure you can see in the picture. The Picture or raster is very compressed, the other tubes are normal.
Do anyone know what problems are there ?
Please help... Mr. Green

Hello and welcome to forum.

Seems that your projector has lost vertical deflection at blue tube. That situation usually "kills" tube -> deflection burn. So if tube not yet show visible signs of deflectionburn, don't run projector. Try look for loose connectors or cracked solderpoints etc.. and if you found culprit for that error, then test projector with blue g-2/screen adjust at minimum first and slowly rise blue g-2 till you barely see if blue tube has full raster, if not then turn g-2 back to minimum and continue error search...

You have a problem on the convergence board most likely. Post a picture of it and post the part number and I"ll see if I have one.

That's the board. Can you post one last full picture of it? It will be cheap, but I need to see if I have one first.

It's a holiday here today, I'll be able to look for it tomorrow. Sorry, with the emails and requests I get daily, everything takes 2-3 days to process.

Tubes are $695 USD each new, no one really ever has any good used ones for sale.

Cheers!

I'm surprised no one suggested he swap the vert deflection harness connectors with the green or red.
