Hi CRT'ers!

Is it true that all Blue Rays are mastered in 16-235 Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr?

Because if found this

When i set the player at 16-235 ypb/cb pr/cr and the moome card to the same range
the picture is really flat and less punchier than if i set it to 0 - 255 full range and Moome to 0 - 255 full range

And the gamma seems correct in both way but i think the picture looks 10% better in RGB full! Really nice!!

....And if so, how can the picture looks better if i put the settings wrong? Cool
It feels like i'm cheating my way to the best picture

Your Cheating, all BD is mastered in 16-235 so that "extra" color space you thing your getting is not really there. I think you need to turn the Gamma all the way off on your Moome , then adjust your black level and white level correctly on your PJ. then once that is set use the gamma.

Ok thanks for the info Thumbs Up

If i put the PS3 to RGB Limit and the Moome at 0-255 i get the best picture though..
Its really nice at 43 brightness and 73 in contrast.
This setting will also match the menu light amount

To match the same "pop" in the picture when using 16-235 preset at the Moome card i have to put the contrast at 92
and brightness to 56..

Is there any one else who uses Button B preset on Moome? (0-255)

Thanks!
