Very interesting.
For CRT-Tubes the color is always B&W as far as i know because each tube is a "black an white"-Tube.

Based on their website, I would be VERY surprised if they can do any front projection tube. Sorry, I've seen similar pictures from a number of rebuilders, and they always come to a screeching halt when it comes to rephosphoring tubes.

yeah I saw that for the colors where they only rebuild the guns, so I asked how much to re gun my thomas tubes with the sony guns to LUG or LCP09 guns.

They can manufacture 300 CRTs per month. The rest is mainly selling NOS Thomson and Philips tubes, it seems.

Colour doesn't mean monochrome colour, but seems to refer to regular colour (directview) tubes. But the reply email you got makes it highly unlikely they do rephosphorizing on coloured monochrome tubes.

The thing is, phosphor wear/burn is very rare with direct view CRT monitors. With them, only the electron gun wears out, and that's an easy operation compared to rephosphoring.

Hello everyone,
let's not downplay the fact THAT they DO rebuild CRTs period. Has anybody had their PJ tubes rebuilt from them??
IS there anyone in USA or CANADA that offer CRT rebuilding for PJ Tubes??
Company names please still in business.

Any idea what the rate would be for a set of P22s?
Cheers,
Gerbrand

I contacted Thomas Electronics today about a replacement blue tube for my G90. I spoke to Bill Kuney. He was very helpful. My initial inquiry was about refurbished tubes. Mr. Kuney explained to me projection tubes are not good for refurbish because the electron energy is so high it etches the face of the crt. However, he told me they sell a lot of new P19LUG tubes. He is sending me a price list and specifications. My initial impression of Thomas Electronics as a source of crt replacement tubes is very good.
