I know that movies are subjective but THE BATTLE FOR TERRA was fantastic. The story line was flawless. I thought this movie was the height of imagination. How do you make aliens different but likable? I liked the movie so much that it prompt me to look up the director/writer and write to him just to tell him what a great story it is.

Not a bad movie. I had no idea it was annimated though untill it started. That didn't make a difference to the movie overall. It would have worked as well in live action too.
Well done. Just a little short at 80 minutes.

Reviving a thread more than a year old. I just watched this movie and it was because of this thread form a year ago. The title just stuck in my head and when I was doing my Netflix Quee I put it in as a filler. I'm glad I did.
Good movie, interesting, and fun.
The voice talents alone are a reason to watch.

I've owned this for a while now. Watched it twice. I really enjoyed it as well.
I didn't know about it until it appeared in the "previously enjoyed" section at BB or Rogers.
There's a few "lesser known" animated features out there:
Dragon Hunters is another good one. I think there's a thread about it. Forrest Whittaker is the voice of one of the main characters. Can't find it in BR anywhere I looked so bought the DVD.
The Tale of Despereaux is really good too.
Legend of the Guardians - The Owls of Ga-hoole - WOW some great animation in that one (especially the flying in the storm scene). Good story too.
A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey had some Crazy details in it as well. Never been a favorite story, but it was well done.
Applpeseed - ExMachina for anime had a really good story and great action.
