Hi
I've got a problem with my pg9.

I can't change the brightness of the picture.

On which board should I search for the problem. I think it's an STK but which one. How could I test the STKs?

Thanks
Alex

It's not an STK chip. Does the contrast work? What input are you using? is the image too bright or too dim? Have you tried turning the AKB on and off in the menu?

It worked before an from one to the other second the picture was to dark

Alex

P.S. I can't check contracst at moment

Look into each lens 1 at a time and run the brightness up and down watching the pic and the bar graph. Is the brightness of the pic or bar graph changing on any tubes or nothing on all 3.

Hi
I can't say if its really the brightness. It flickers from time to time and the colors are very bad and pale.
I can change the brightness on all tubes.

Where is the TEST switch on the video board? I've never switched a switch on the board.

Hi

So the TEST switch is turned off.
I can change the contrast and the brightness on all tubes.

But it flickers. It flickers also in the test-menu. The flicker is on all tubes the same.

What it could be?
